Youth Flourishing Leadership Academy

Youth Flourishing Leadership Academy (YFLA) is a 4 year cohort based program that promotes the overall well-being and flourishing of high school students. Given that increasing number of high school students are experiencing loneliness and a sense of hopelessness, it has become imperative to intentionally focus on fostering a sense of meaning, purpose, and connectedness to self, others, and the world at large among them.

YFLA Key Elements

  • Emotional Literacy, Character, and Virtue

  • Meaning and Purpose

  • Network of Support & Social relationships

  • Happiness and Life Satisfaction

The primary goal of YFLA is to instill a sense of hope, courage, curiosity, meaning and purpose among high school students. To achieve this goal, the academy provides participants with hands on skills, knowledge, and practical tools to live well and do well socially, emotionally, and academically so they can live a flourishing life.

YFLA Cohort Participants will:

  • ​Receive weekly lessons on flourishing

  • Co-create an Individualized Flourishing Plan

  • Receive 1:1 Mentoring for Flourishing

  • Become part of a Youth Global Community for Flourishing

  • Create and Implement a Global Project for Flourishing
